We hired Omega Softwares to improve our Software development activities

OMEGA SOFTWARES was hired initially to assist with new product development activities, including development of Android and iPhone mobile applications and support of a Windows-based product. The team has evolved to also participating in development software for our research and development efforts including advanced C++, Matlab, Python, and wearable applications.

The team has created cool new apps for Android and iPhone, as well as apps for smartwatches and other devices. We've also made special software to collect data in a unique way.

Our company manages the resources directly, however the account and customer management at Omega Softwares has been outstanding!

The President of Omega said "As things change we as a company must change to make things better". We find that the team of people who are based in both the India and overseas have been helpful and supportive.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Technology is always changing and so is the need to update our website and system but with the right attitude, all problems can be solved. They have the "Right Attitude".

Software is extensive, creative, and responsive. Through 2 different projects and nearly 3 years, I have yet to encounter something we wanted to implement that didn't get done.

Training - A centralized training platform for my training videos that link securely to Vimeo which are unlisted on Vimeo. Nobody is going to steal the proprietary nature of my work.

Transparency - All affiliates will be able to log on and validate the work they have done and the bonus commissions they are entitled to.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Omega MLM software is one of the last few software providers which allow for customizations to suit your business model. MLM is not an ERP and is well suited to the sale of products online that will serve you better if have a vision for building relationships with your distributors (aka affiliates). I use MLM as a training platform and rewards program for affiliation relationships.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

It is user friendly, but if you or one of your people are truly novices to using software for web design, you'll need assistance from Omega staff. Luckily, they are fantastic at providing it.

Overall this is a great app that I will highly recommend all my friends and family.

Omega has really made it easy to send money from one place to another withing a second and the most wonderful thing is that the transactions cost is absolutely cost effective. Like I am working in USA and I send money home in India and it's really easy and convenient. I am highly recommending this solution for their outstanding services and transparency.

I am happy and I still think there is a lot to be improved, like Omega Software is not fully yet in all the countries. I think this should be looked upon.

We did exceed our initial budget, but this was largely due to the addition of new features mid-project, based on user feedback. Great team to work with, very professional and capable. They were easy to communicate with and delivered on their commitments. They are very flexible and willing to do what it takes to get the project done.

We had a few hiccups on mapping the design approval workflow, so making sure everyone understands that from the beginning would be helpful. Budgeting forecasts, always a tough thing, could be slightly improved. Ours was a very fluid project, and so this would have been tough in most cases.

We developed the platform for our client together. The backend is Python, and the frontend is React. The frontend is more or less forms that the end-users can fill in. What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

Our client was very happy. I’m a bridge between development and the client. If the requirements are met and the features are working, then it’s positive. The client also gave the whole project team a good grade. It’s always important that we progress and deliver value over time. Every sprint feature was developed.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

It was a little unclear in the beginning about how we should work with them and onboard new people. They improved it when we onboarded a new team for a bigger, new iteration, though, and it went well.

Omega built and tested a prototype platform for us. We provided them with a clear list of features that we wanted to see in the MVP, and they created a web-based application that automates some elements of the funding service process. It’s a digital marketplace that allows funders to connect with and fund local projects looking for support. We’ve continued to work with them.

What is it about the company that you appreciate the most?

The MVP was launched a couple of weeks ago. We’ve had positive feedback and testimonials from the first users, saying that it is easy to navigate and has a good look and feel — they’re willing to recommend it. The old way of delivering our funding service was manual, and it had high friction. The process involved a lot of time, which translated into more cost for our clients. This platform reduces that processing time with automation.

What was it about the company that you didn't like which they should do better?

Due to an external shortage of developers and designers, we’ve had minor delays in finding the right talent for UI/UX roles. However, Omega has managed it well, without there being any actual shortages or blockages.
